TerpLink.com

Professional networking for sign language interpreters

In thinking about the underlying purpose of TerpLink to serve as a place for Sign Language interpreters to learn, share, interact, reconnect with each other. In other words, an online destination where Sign Language interpreters can be interpreters.

So, that is the theme for the upcoming year - Be! - already you will notice that the menus have changed to reflect the new theme. Just in case here is an legend to the previous menu choices and what they are now.

My Page = Be Yourself
Colleagues = Be Among
Discuss It = Be Engaged
Events = Be There
Videos/Photos = Be Seen
Groups/Blogs = Be Heard
Store = Be In The Know

I welcome your comments and suggestions as the menus are refined over the next few weeks. I already see where certain items can be better placed to make more sense or more often used.

New Features Released Today

TerpAnswers - Ask a question, get answers from other Sign Language interpreters. Be sure to add some additional information to provide context for both sides of the issue. Also, if you want people to answer your questions, then you need to answer theirs.

Classifieds - For an introductory period the classifieds will be complimentary at no charge. Even after the introductory period the cost will be minimal, probably only $1. If you want to advertise a job, please be kind and visit TerpJobs.com to post your announcement. It helps to support and keep TerpLink free. Otherwise, advertise your old textbooks, practice videos, diagnostic services, paid mentoring services.

Please let me know what you think of the new theme and the new features. Remember, be your best, be yourself, be proud to be a Sign Language interpreter!
