I first learned sign when my oldest son was a toddler and we learned that he was deaf. I attended the classes for parent at his elementary school, then went on to attend workshops, and followed up with ASL classes at the college. I continue to learn from my deaf sons and deaf friends and interpreter buddies :-)
What is your favorite type of interpreting assignment?
I have to say that I love medical. I also enjoy job trainings for deaf new hires and working with older deaf.
